Reports before Daybreak by Brent Meersman. I am also reading Nelson Mandela By Himself: The Authorised Book of Quotations, and Killing Kebble, by Mandy Weiner and The World According to Julius Malema by Max du Preez .
In a nutshell?
Meersman's book is an exciting saga of South Africa in the 1980s, showing where many of us come from and how we got to where we are today.
Why read it?
The story comes from both sides of the struggle and is challenging, shocking and unique. [The other books] range from the sublime to the ridiculous via the terrifying.
